Two Pinal County residents are among six current and retired Salt River Project employees to receive the company’s 2017 President’s Volunteer Spirit award for their efforts volunteering in the community.

Gregg Bargo of Casa Grande and Jace Kerby of Queen Creek were among the six to receive the award, which recognizes volunteers who serve as examples of the power of caring, a press release from SRP said.

Bargo, who volunteers with the Queen Creek-based Pan de Vida Foundation, said he was happy to receive the award.
