2014 by the numbers: Casa Grande climate report

Casa GrandeWhile Phoenix experienced hotter- and wetter-than-average weather last year, Casa Grande had a very dry 2014, with temperatures slightly below normal.

According to commercial weather forecasting organization AccuWeather, last year’s rainfall was less than one-quarter of what Casa Grande typically receives — 2.48 inches, compared to an annual average of 9.04 inches — and its average temperature was 0.2 of a degree below normal for the year. Last year’s average temperature was 71.6 degrees Fahrenheit, compared to an average of 71.8.

In comparison, Phoenix’s average temperature in 2014 was 2.1 degrees above normal, and its yearly rainfall was a tick above average — 8.36 inches, compared to its average of 8.03.
