2015 will be year of … Pinal County’s rebound; higher gas prices; the Wildcats, not the Cubs

Pinal CountyHigher gas prices, more college students preparing to become teachers, improved retail sales, aggressive economic development efforts, one new community library, a better housing market and a focus on logistics are all on the list of 2015 predictions by several Pinal County community leaders.

Casa Grande Mayor Bob Jackson said simply that 2015 will be a better year than 2014 for Casa Grande.

“I think we’ve done a really good job establishing a good foundation for next year,” Jackson said. With the 2014 opening of several new large retail outlets and the announcements of a distribution center and more new retail and wholesale outlets, he predicted a strong retail economy will help drive trade and boost the housing market. In turn, that means more jobs, he said.
