The Governor’s Commission on Service and Volunteerism cordially invites you to attend and participate in a specially organized service and volunteerism capacity building meeting scheduled for your area:
- The Commission on Service and Volunteerism has an upcoming funding opportunity for new, three-year AmeriCorps State programs. Specific technical assistance will be provided on how to write a highly competitive AmeriCorps State program application
- Alliance of Arizona Nonprofits AmeriCorps VISTA project has an upcoming opportunity for new host organizations.
- Participate in a workshop presentation on Reimagining Service, and learn about the new trends and practices in the field of service and volunteerism.

The Governor’s Commission on Service and Volunteerism is a governor-appointed state entity that engages more than 35,000 Arizonans in service through service and volunteer efforts and by providing oversight and administering Arizona’s AmeriCorps State programming in partnership with the Corporation for National and Community Service, with funds appropriated by Congress. The Alliance of Arizona Nonprofits coordinates a statewide intermediary AmeriCorps VISTA program that partners with local qualified community organizations to host one or two AmeriCorps VISTA members to assist with capacity building activities, which may include; creating infrastructure, developing forms and manuals, designing new programs, community outreach, grant writing, and/or volunteer recruitment and management.
