Apache Junction library to receive $35K for renovations

Apache Junction LibraryThe Arizona State Library, Archives and Public Records approved more than $120,000 in grant money for libraries statewide to move forward with construction and other improvement projects, and nearly 30 percent of that funding will find its way to Pinal County.

Apache Junction Public Library, located on North Idaho Road, will receive $35,000 for renovations.

Library Director Spencer Paden said the funds will be used for one project: a wall allowing for noise reduction in one particular area of the library, “so instead of using an open space like we are now for our larger programs, we will use a space that will be enclosed,” he said.
