Area officials talk plans to create regional job-training center

The prospective developments of Lucid Motors and Attesa have initiated efforts to build a better pipeline of talent in Pinal County.

Central Arizona College has already taken steps to introduce new curriculum this month that specifically aligns with the needs of Lucid’s future workforce.

Richard Wilkie, economic development director for Casa Grande, said local stakeholders are looking to take those efforts another step further by developing a regional training center that caters to the county’s industrial businesses.

The details of this facility are still being hammered out, but Wilkie mentioned the project during a panel discussion Tuesday hosted by Access Arizona.
