Big crowd turns out for I-11 meeting in CG

While the Interstate 11 corridor is still a distant dream, state transportation officials are putting in some legwork now.
At a public meeting held Wednesday night in Casa Grande, officials from the Arizona Department of Transportation explained the proposed project and solicited feedback from residents. Jay Van Echo, I-11 study manager, told PinalCentral that it’s important to do the preliminary work now so that in 10 or more years, if funding is approved, all of the studies will be complete and the project will be shovel ready.
Van Echo told the crowd of about 60 that he values public input on projects.
