Casa Grande council to hold hearing on Villago changes

Two public hearings will be held as part of the City Council’s regular meeting Monday.

Residents are invited to give input to the council’s consideration of changes to the Villago planned area development. The item previously had been considered twice by the Planning and Zoning Commission.

Bowman Construction has acquired undeveloped land in the Villago neighborhood, prompting the request for some changes to the original plans, which were approved in 2003 and then again in 2006. Changes would include removing a proposed business park in the area near Pinal Avenue and Val Vista Boulevard, reducing the size of the community park from 40 acres to 30 and replacing a proposed community center with a neighborhood facility.
