Central Arizona College job expo in Apache Junction Sept. 14

Central Arizona College and the Apache Junction Chamber of Commerce invites local businesses to participate in the Eighth Annual Job Expo 10 a.m.-1 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 14, at the Superstition Mountain Campus, 805 S. Idaho Road in Apache Junction.

“This year we are partnering with the Apache Junction Chamber of Commerce,” Ann Mitchell, CAC’s coordinator of student employment and the job expo, said in a press release. “It is our belief that partnering with the Apache Junction Chamber of Commerce will provide a two-fold benefit. It will help find employers within the area that are hiring and help with marketing efforts to inform community members about the event.”

Employers attending the job expo will have access to educated adult students. These adults understand the value of an education and are investing today for successful careers tomorrow. The caliber of candidates is comprised of currently enrolled adult students, CAC alumni, high school seniors and community members.

“We encourage employers to take advantage of this opportunity to find the employees that possess the skills and latest education required to help your business run smoothly and efficiently,” Ms. Mitchell said in the release.

The expo is held on campus during a time when most students are present to meet with prospective employers.

A fee of $35 will be assessed to each for-profit exhibitor. The fee for government and nonprofit organizations is $25. Each exhibitor will be provided with a table, a chair and a light lunch for one representative. A fee of $10 is required for each additional representative.

The last date to register for the expo is Sept. 7. Space is limited and will be assigned on a first-come, first-served basis.
