Coolidge citizens to receive much-needed flood relief

When City of Coolidge Mayor Jon Thompson and City Manager Rick Miller took a tour around town of recent projects tapped by city council to improve the quality of life of the citizens, one in particular struck the mayor as a big one to cross off the list.

On Thursday, Nov. 17, Thompson and Miller visited the construction of water retention ponds and dry wells by City of Coolidge Public Works, where the east side of the railroad tracks project is getting underway near Vah Ki Inn.

The project is funded by the Pinal County Flood District, and is expected to cut down on the flooding citizens have experienced from the railroad tracks to 8th Place in Coolidge.
