Coolidge, Greyhound reach agreement

coolidgeThe city has reached an agreement with Greyhound Buslines that gives Pinal County the opportunity to operate an intercity bus service and provide more people with transportation links to other communities and destinations.

Jill Dusenberry, grants director and special projects for the City of Coolidge, explained that the agreement will mean more return funding share for Coolidge.

“Basically what this means is if we connect with the Greyhound center in Casa Grande, Greyhound will pay us for every ticket we issue to ride or traverse on the Greyhound system,” Dusenberry said. “They could buy a ticket for Greyhound here in Coolidge and it would be ticketed at the transit facility and they could go to any destination Greyhound serves.”
