Coolidge transit: Routes could expand in Casa Grande

The city has come up with a draft five-year transit plan that includes expanding regional service and inviting Casa Grande to join the system.

The plan, approved by the Coolidge City Council on Aug. 11, identifies a two-phase approach. Jill Dusenberry, grants and special projects director for the city, along with representatives from Moore & Associates, presented the transit plan and answered questions.

“We’ve taken the last 12 months or so to go through and develop a five-year transit plan and this is, I think, the best plan that I think I’ve ever seen that the transit department has had,” Dusenberry said. “Moore & Associates did a great analysis of what our existing conditions are and what our opportunities are and has recommendations in the plan.”
