Council gives go-ahead for Cornman Annexation

The city of Coolidge is moving forward in its efforts to attract more businesses to Coolidge, this time by annexing a small piece of land on Cornman Road and State Route 87.

The land, part of the sale between the city of Mesa’s water farm and Pinal Land Holdings, is among several properties at the center of a potential amendment to the city’s 2020 General Plan designed to alter the land use for approximately 857 acres from Urban Neighborhood to Industrial and Manufacturing.

The change, Development Services Director Gilbert Lopez said, is designed to make the rezoning process easier for incoming manufacturing businesses working with PLH.
