Developer hopes to build new Casa Grande senior community

A developer is looking to build a new senior living community on the northeast corner of Pueblo Drive and Fourth Street.
Referred to as Cielo Villas, the property is expected to include 60 apartment units for tenants over the age of 55. The community markets itself as appealing to younger, active seniors while also catering to adults who are older and less mobile.
The Casa Grande Planning and Zoning Commission recently authorized rezoning the 2.4 acres Cielo Villas would be built upon. The parcels are currently vacant and had been zoned for single-family residential homes.
