ELOY — The City Council has approved unanimously a contract to retain Access Arizona’s former director Jim Dinkle to work on economic development for the city.

“Eloy is very fortunate to have recruited such an experienced person,” said Councilwoman JoAnne Galindo. “The great thing about Mr. Dinkle is he has worked in Pinal County, he knows Pinal County and he knows Eloy.”

According to the contract, the city will pay Dinkle $6,000 a month for his services in helping attract and retain businesses and expand existing ones. The salary for Dinkle would come out of the city manager’s budget, which has $70,000 for consulting services this year.
