Florence hospital has new owner

The hospital property on W. Adamsville Road has been bought by a Texas group, Mayor Tom Rankin announced toward the end of Monday’s Town Council meeting.
He said afterward he didn’t have permission to release the group’s name.
“They’re researching, they’re looking at the different operations to be held in there, (such as) a combination of hospital and rest home or nursing home,” Rankin said. “Maybe an urgent care with the lab, X-rays and everything associated with it. They’re still looking at all their options and working with different people they’ll be using to develop it.
