Former Coolidge fire chief hired by Arizona City

The Arizona City Fire District has hired former Coolidge fire chief Robert Jarvis as a part-time paramedic.

“We’re a little short staffed right now so he was kind enough to help us out as he’s looking for another job,” said Jeff Heaton, the Arizona City Fire District chief.

Jarvis resigned as chief of the Coolidge Fire Department last month. He was hired in Coolidge after he left in a cloud of controversy from his previous position as fire chief in Christopher Creek, a small community east of Payson in February.
