GOP hopefuls kick off statewide ‘victory’ tour in Casa Grande

With just about a year to go before the U.S. House and Senate elections, several candidates stopped in Casa Grande on Wednesday to show support for a GOP grassroots initiative to get out the vote.

Congressional District 1 candidates Kevin Cavanaugh and Tiffany Shedd both attended the event. Cavanaugh spoke only briefly, saying he supports the agenda of President Donald Trump and is a supporter of legal immigration.

Cavanaugh, from Florence, also announced an event in February that is going to be co-hosted with Republican stalwart Dinesh D’Souza. Cavanaugh campaign manager Greg Thornberg told PinalCentral that D’Souza agreed to appear at the event on behalf of Cavanaugh.
