Holbrook Dairy Queen sign to become part of Casa Grande neon display

A retired Dairy Queen sign from Holbrook has found a new home in Casa Grande.

Discarded from the ice cream restaurant on the former Route 66 after a recent corporate upgrade, the iconic Dairy Queen “lips” sign is now in the hands of preservationists who plan to shine it up and restore it, along with several Casa Grande area signs.

It was delivered to a Casa Grande storage space earlier this month on a truck that hauls newspapers to Payson and Show Low from the Casa Grande Valley Newspapers Inc. plant.
