Lucid gets extension on Casa Grande land option

An electric car manufacturer that hopes to build a plant in Casa Grande has been given an extension on an option to purchase the land needed for the factory, authorities say.
Lucid Motors, the Menlo Park, California–based electric car manufacturer, has received an extension on the time to purchase 500 acres located at the southwest corner of Thornton and Peters roads.
Kirk McCarville, Pinal County advisor with Land Advisors, a commercial brokerage firm, said the extension was offered to the buyer — Lucid — by the sellers. He said that the purchase agreement is in full force and the buyers have kept up their part.
