Marana neighborhood to get new pizzeria
The building Twin Peaks Pizza will occupy.
In late 2016, Marana’s Continental Ranch lost its familiar pizzeria, an outpost of Hungry Howie’s on West Twin Peaks Road, next door to a busy karate studio.
Howie’s quietly closed after nine years in the neighborhood and the small counter-service-only restaurant was left to collect dust.
Lindsey Fisher, who owns the popular Marana pizzeria and restaurant Dominick’s Real Italian, inked a lease for the space at 7575 W. Twin Peaks Road near Interstate 10 and will soon open Twin Peaks Pizza. The pizzeria, which Fisher said is not affiliated with Dominick’s, will specialize in hand-tossed thin-crust pizza, calzones, salads and sandwiches.
