Master plan developed for makeover in Casa Grande

Efficiency and expansion are two priorities for renovating Carr McNatt Park, says Casa Grande Community Services Director Bill Schwind.

After months of input from community members, Schwind has devised a master plan that combines ideas from four separate designs drafted by consulting group Kimley-Horn.

“I think the time is right to put some improvements into this place,” Schwind said. The preliminary plan aims to modernize elements of the existing park to accommodate heavy usage among local sports teams. Schwind plans to divide the park’s center football field into four separate practice zones, which he thinks will limit the amount of foot traffic.
