Miller lone vote against county budget because of pay raise option

Pinal County Board of Supervisors Chairman Steve Miller was in favor of the final 2017-18 fiscal year budget amount presented at the supervisors meeting Wednesday.

But he voted “no” on the item anyway.

The final budget rings in just where the tentative budget — which was set early last month — capped off: $406,072,603. The primary property tax rate was set at about $3.87 per $100 net assessed value. All tax levies and rates in all jurisdictions within the county will be adopted Aug. 21.
