The Board of Supervisors has approved a comprehensive plan change that would allow a leading movie screen manufacturer to take over a Pinal County facility.

But neighbors of the San Tan Valley site are hoping the plan doesn’t come to fruition.

Severtson Screens currently leases three facilities in Mesa to produce its screens for movie giants like AMC, Regal Cinemas, Harkins Theatres and others but hopes to find a permanent home and consolidate the three buildings into one.
