New Casa Grande RV resort opens with plans for golf course next year

A new RV park has opened at the site of the former Casa Grande Golf and RV Resort, and the owner has big plans for the future.
Desert Springs RV Ranch & Resort at 3290 S. Montgomery Road has been open about a week, said Boyd Smith, CEO of Cashmere Homes, which owns the property. It has about 100 RV spaces ready for use right now at the site on the western edge of Casa Grande.
Smith envisions 600 to 700 lots with mostly 400-square-foot stucco cottage homes, about 100 spaces for RVs, a golf course with a driving range and pickleball courts. Most of the homes would be owned, with a few leased by Cashmere Homes.
