Number of Central Arizona College grads rising

SIGNAL PEAK — Central Arizona College saw its highest number of graduates in six years as 600 students left “The Green” of the Signal Peak Campus with a degree or certificate.

That is a sign that even though critics of the college have pointed toward declining enrollment as a major issue for the school, the mission of CAC has remained the same — ensuring student success.

“Of course enrollment is important and of course we want to continue to grow our program,” said Jenni Cardenas, interim vice president of college affairs. “At the same time our focus is on student learning and our focus is about completion and degree attainment or transfer.”
