Optimism strong for Promenade mall

The stretch of Interstate 10 between Phoenix and Tucson has a tendency to look barren, particularly at night. Flat desert land is occasionally broken up by mountains, but signs of civilization can be few and far between.

Luckily for the bored and the lost, the middle point in the length of road comes with one exit where the bright lights welcome drivers to take a break and explore some of the commerce available. Thanks to The Promenade at Casa Grande, the exit looks much like one found in the heart of the Valley. And once they have taken the exit, travelers might just discover the city of Casa Grande.

That’s been the idea all along.

“It’s the landmark people know Casa Grande by,” said Richard Wilkie, the city’s economic development manager.
