The PhoenixMart project is continuing to progress, albeit slowly.
The project, which bills itself as a giant wholesale distribution center, is continuing with construction, and crews are pouring concrete and installing roofing. City Planning and Development Director Paul Tice told PinalCentral that once the city receives and approves an updated floor plan, construction on the interior of the project will begin.
Earlier in May the City Council approved construction of a sewer line to the project, bringing the project one step closer to fruition. The council approved paying for the extension of the line to just beyond the city’s current terminus and under Interstate 10, while AZ Sourcing, the parent company of PhoenixMart, will pay to have the line extended to its property.
