Pinal County official alleges former boss allowed massive breach of sealed court documents

Amanda Stanford, Pinal County clerk of Superior Court, claims former clerk Chad Roche knew of hundreds of data breaches in the court’s computer system and did nothing to stop them.

Stanford, a Republican, worked for fellow Republican Roche before resigning to run for office. She defeated Roche in the primary election last August. With no other candidates for the general election, she essentially won the seat by beating her former boss.

While Roche was in office, he twice made public statements about employees in the Pinal County Attorney’s Office viewing documents that judges had ordered sealed.

But Stanf­­ord said those two instances don’t even scratch the surface, according to a press release.
