Pinal projects 20,000 jobs in 5 years

Pinal County is projected to add 20,000 new jobs over the next five years, according to an economic development report.

That number includes 4,500 jobs with the proposed PhoenixMart in Casa Grande and 3,500 jobs with the proposed Resolution Copper Mine near Superior. Both projects have been delayed the last couple of years.

However, Pinal County Economic Development Director Tim Kanavel said the report also doesn’t include other businesses and industries that are close to committing to locating in Pinal County.

He remains optimistic about the future.
