Pinal renews program to aid new, expanding businesses

Pinal County is working to ensure that when big businesses are considering whether to do business here, moving costs won’t be a concern.

The Board of Supervisors has renewed the county’s Business Assistance Program for a second year after finding that it has helped at least two major companies in its pilot year. This means that another $200,000 has been put into the program’s coffers in order to help local businesses.

BAP allows the county to pay for certain relocation and utility costs for businesses either looking to move into or looking to move or expand within Pinal County. The money can cover the cost of shipping of equipment, employee relocation, job training and utility work.
