Pinal Supervisor Miller’s complaint against fellow supervisors dismissed

Three members of the Pinal County Board of Supervisors have been exonerated of any wrong-doing in a claim brought against them by a fellow supervisor.
In a complaint filed Feb. 5 to the Arizona Attorney General’s Office, District 3 Supervisor Steve Miller alleged three of his colleagues — District 2 Supervisor Cheryl Chase, District 4 Supervisor Anthony Smith and District 5 Supervisor Todd House — violated the state’s Open Meeting Law while attempting to secure raises for their administrative assistants.
In his letter, he alleged his colleagues had numerous conversations and e-mails between themselves and with county staff members to try and reclassify the status of their administrative assistants in order to get them raises, according to the complaint Supervisor Miller e-mailed to the Apache Junction/Gold Canyon Independent May 22.
