Pinal Ways magazine profiles historic family businesses

Lloyd Norris started selling fertilizer and pesticides to local farmers in 1952, when agriculture dominated and less than 50,000 people lived in Pinal County.

Norris Chemical’s sales eventually dwindled because similar businesses moved into the county, and many farmers sold their land to developers who built recreational vehicle parks, among other things. To survive, Norris, his daughter and son-in-law started an RV parts shop even though no one in the family knew anything about RVs. They learned, and today Norris RV has been in business for more than 20 years.
