The vacant hospital property at 450 W. Adamsville Road could serve any one of several different healthcare uses besides a traditional hospital, the town of Florence confirmed this month in a “zoning interpretation” letter to the owners.

Florence Community Development Director Mark Eckhoff wrote the letter to the owners, Diversified Lenders Inc. of Lubbock, Texas, in response to their request for a clear understanding of the potential uses under the property’s “B-2” Highway Business zoning as they try to sell it.

Colliers International Of Phoenix lists the building for sale for $4.8 million. The listing notes it was built in 1976, renovated in 2010 and covers almost 90,000 square feet.
