P&Z Approves CUP for Medical Marijuana Dispensary

Last Tuesday, Sept. 12, the Apache Junction Planning & Zoning Commission voted 6-1 to approve the Conditional Use Permit (CUP) request by Svaccha, LLC for a Medical Marijuana Dispensary to be located at 1985 W. Apache Trail in Suite 4 of the Palo Verde Plaza.

Commission Chair Tess Nesser, Vice Chair Peter Heck and Commissioners Luciano Buzzin, Michael Frank, Willie Howard and Michael McGraw voted to approve the CUP, with Commissioner Robert Schroeder voting no.

The dispensary will be the second one in Apache Junction and is located about a mile from Nature’s Wonder on N. Apache Trail. The city also has a medical marijuana cultivation site and kitchen, Perpetual Health Care, located about three miles east of the proposed dispensary.
