San Tan Valley Sentinel to begin print publication

San Tan Valley is growing. Not just in population, as it always has, but in business and in tradition and in community. No longer is it a place full of people from other parts of Arizona looking for a cheap piece of property. Families have been raised there, allowing for multiple generations that call San Tan “home.”

It is due to this overall growth that Casa Grande Valley Newspapers Inc. — which publishes newspapers in Casa Grande, Eloy, Coolidge, Arizona City, Maricopa and Florence — has decided to expand its operations in San Tan Valley to include a weekly print publication. Starting on July 20, the San Tan Valley Sentinel will be distributed for sale to stores around the area.

CGVNI’s reporters have already been covering San Tan for many years now. School districts based in Coolidge and Florence that expanded to the area have ensured that those newspapers had a firm understanding of the local community. Incorporation efforts have been on the minds of all of Pinal County, as the city of San Tan Valley would have drastic impacts on the other communities.
