Southern Avenue Paving Through September
APACHE JUNCTION – The city of Apache Junction will be re-paving Southern Avenue from Apache Drive to Winchester Road through Sept. 15.
The work will result in lane restrictions and lane closures at times for both east and westbound traffic on Southern Avenue, including overnight hours and weekends.
The paving will not include the intersection of Southern and Idaho Road.
Access will be maintained for side streets and residential access points along Southern Avenue with short closures occurring during business hours only as work in front of the intersections and entryways take place.
Reduced speed limits are planned for the work zone so drivers and pedestrians should take extra caution and observe speed limits and other construction warning signs.
