Stanfield Elementary override fails by 4 votes

Four votes ended up determining the failed outcome of the Stanfield Elementary School District’s budget override election.

Unofficial results posted by the Pinal County Elections Department on Thursday night reveal the decision came down to a 528-524 vote against allowing the district to spend 10 percent beyond its normal maintenance and operations budget.

The Elections Department announced on Twitter it had finished counting all ballots cast in the Nov. 8 general election, although the final results must be approved by the county Board of Supervisors.
