Tidwell holds Q&A at Robson Ranch

Council member J.W. Tidwell met with nearly two dozen Eloy citizens for two hours on July 30 to answer questions regarding taxes, trash pickup, recycling, the landfill, the dismissal of City magistrate Gene Wilson in January and other compelling issues that were on the minds of those in attendance.

Many concerns stemmed from a lack of communication between the residents and how council meetings are conducted, said several audience members. They were under the impression that they had no voice at City Council meetings.

Tidwell explained the procedure for them to follow if they wished to address the council. Any citizen may sign up to speak to council members at the beginning of every regularly scheduled meeting for up to three minutes.
