Water, water, everywhere – Pinal County liquid gold
Governor Doug Ducey appointed a Water Task Force to come up with policy suggestions to improve our water situation into the next century and beyond – there is a lot of discussion about Pinal County! As you know, Pinal Partnership has been an active participant in the extinguishment credit issues over the years and we are continuing our involvement in assessing the situation to protect Pinal County’s interests.
In order to continue this conversation we have assembled some of the most active and influential water policy participants to come discuss the latest concepts coming out of the Governor’s Water Task Force.
Pinal County Board of Supervisors Chairman Steve Miller is an appointed member of the Governor’s Groundwater Counsel and has worked tirelessly for at least the last five years on coming up with some Pinal County water solutions to allow for continued economic growth and agriculture. He has recently presented those to the Governor’s group and will join us at the breakfast to explain these solutions.
The Arizona Department of Water Resources will also participate in the panel as they are on the front lines of everything that is happening with regards to Pinal County and water.
In addition, Grant Ward from the Maricopa-Stanfield Irrigation and Drainage District will join us. Grant is one of the great Pinal County water influencers.
