Work on mural for Casa Grande sign park gets underway

A new mural started Saturday is a nod to Casa Grande’s past and its future.
Featuring images of the Fransisco Grande Hotel, Casa Grande City Hall, the Woman’s Club and other images, the mural celebrates the historic sights found along State Route 84. When it’s finished, it is to serve as a gateway to a newly proposed vintage sign park being planned in Arizona Plaza downtown.
“I did a lot of research to get the colors right,” said artist Mark White, who is creating the mural.
