APEX discusses construction of motor sports club

Partners of APEX Motorsports Club chose to locate in Maricopa because of its proximity to golf courses, casinos and the Phoenix metropolitan area, an official with the company says.
Matt Williams spoke at a Maricopa Chamber of Commerce breakfast Thursday about construction of the new facility and its impact on Maricopa. He described the proposed timeline and general functions of the club.
Williams said some of the reasons the group chose Maricopa to build the race track was that it has scenic views, it’s easily accessible by major highways, it is close to other amenities such as golf courses and casinos and it would be the only private motor sports club and race track within the area of one of the six most populated cities in the United States.
