Assistant Manager Knudson leaving Florence for Lake Havasu City

Assistant Town Manager Jess Knudson has been hired to be the new manager of Lake Havasu City.
“It’s been a wonderful 13 years,” Knudson said Monday about his time in Florence. “I didn’t know a lot about Florence when I first moved to the community … but what I quickly learned was all the great people and all the great things that Florence had and was about to accomplish. So it’s been gratifying to be part of the town and all the success the town has had since I’ve served the town of Florence.”
Knudson’s first job here was management assistant. He became assistant to the town manager in 2007 under Town Manager Himanshu Patel. Around the same time, he also took on the responsibilities of the town’s public information officer. In 2011 he became assistant town manager. His last day in Florence will be Dec. 27.
