Babeu requests emergency funding, supervisors ask why now
FLORENCE — Pinal County Sheriff Paul Babeu is requesting $250,000 in emergency funding to counter what he says are new threats faced by his deputies, but county supervisors want more time and information before authorizing such an expense.
Babeu sent a letter requesting the funding to the county Board of Supervisors on Wednesday. PCSO identified cost-effective measures intended to protect law enforcement from a deadly sniper attack.
