Casa Grande attains ‘Playful City’ status for 6th year
Grande Sports World is the first complex of its kind in Arizona, and is destined to become one of the nation’s leading sports training facilities.

From its parks to its hiking trails and basketball courts, Casa Grande offers plenty of opportunities for residents to get outside, be active and play, according to KaBOOM!, which recently bestowed the “Playful City USA” designation on the community.
This is the sixth consecutive year Casa Grande has earned the national recognition.
The city must meet strict criteria and undergo an extensive application process to be considered for the designation each year, said Caryl Chase, Casa Grande recreation superintendent.
