Casa Grande Fire Dept. seeking grants for specialized training
by Kevin Reagan | Casa Grande Dispatch
The Casa Grande Fire Department is seeking additional funding to train firefighters to handle high-risk incidents.
The agency wants to train at least 12 of its members to become skilled in technical rescue operations, which require a deftness that exceeds the day-to-day business of a fire department.
Technical rescue operations are broken down into five disciplines that involve ropes, trenches, water, collapsed buildings and confined spaces.
