Casa Grande officials mum on Lucid sale rumors

City officials are mum on reports that Lucid Motors approached Ford Motor Company in merger talks and may be considering an outright sale of the company.
News of the potential buyout or merger came Monday, just as the Casa Grande City Council was set to meet. City Manager Larry Rains told PinalCentral that the city had no comment on the impact of a potential sale of Lucid.
“We have not received anything to indicate that this is anything more than a rumor,” Rains said.
