City finally completes airport annexation

Having an airport completely annexed into city limits might seem trivial on the surface, but for all intents and purposes, the road to annexation into the City of Coolidge is a welcome completion by staff that has been years in the making.
City Manager Rick Miller summarized the annexation known as “Coolidge Airport II” Annexation, which the City Council approved on Monday, Oct. 24.
“This just finishes up the annexation that the city has been trying to do for a number of years,” Miller said. “We are the owner of this property, and I’ve actually signed that annexation petition for the item to go through tonight.”
