College Graduation rates: CAC says 90% of students able to achieve their goals

CACOver a six-year period, 37 percent of students at Central Arizona College completed degrees or certificates.

But college officials say if you look at statistics customized for the junior college environment, CAC students actually achieve a “successful outcome” to their education 90 percent of the time.

“A successful outcome is more than just getting a degree or a certificate, it’s achieving that goal you came here for,” said Bill Brown, executive director of institutional research at CAC.

Some of those goals include transferring to a university or obtaining a certificate to work as a welder or heavy equipment operator.
