Combating monsoon storms: Pinal County working to improve flood drainage around Arizona City

ARIZONA CITY — During times of heavy rain, water flowing from the south often inundates the community.
Attempting to alleviate the situation, Pinal County recently began a $1.2 million drainage project on the community’s west side, near Battaglia Drive and Henness Road. With completion expected by January, water should then flow into a retention basin instead of ponding up on the streets.
